Fall Retreat -- On Saturday, October 15, the Touched by Grace Women's Ministry hosted their fall ladies retreat at Lake Salleteeska. There were 18 ladies in attendance. The theme this year was "Becoming a Strong Christian Woman". Our guest speaker was Pam Bird of Hermosa Ministries. Pam shared her testimony of the Lord getting her through a tough time in life and how that has strengthened her spiritual walk with Him. She also shared a little about Hemrosa Ministries. Everyone enjoyed readings, devotionals, singing choruses, playing games, and making a craft. A spiritually fit skit was presented to the group by Kim Woodside, Dana Jackson, Michelle Jeschke, Paulette Patterson, and Carole Bridges. A lunch of sandwiches, salad, and other goodies was provided. It was a beautiful fall day at Lake Salleteeska outside and inside the Ford Lodge. Thank you to those ladies who attended. We appreciate you coming out to join us.

A Night of Laughs -- On Sunday night, October 16, several ladies traveled to the Marion Civic Center to see Anita Renfroe in concert. Anita Renfroe is a Christian comedian who brings her musical comedy to the stage and DVD. She brings the laughs by looking at her own life and things in life women encounter in a hilarious, off-beat way. She has been described as "this generation's Erma Bombeck." Needless to say, there was much laughter and a few tears - both from laughing so hard and from some thought provoking moments. It can be said that a good time was had by all who attended. "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine..." ~ Proverbs 17:22

Bible Study Reminder -- Please come join us for Bible study the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Women of all ages are welcome.
